Burano Island

Filled with colourful houses the island of Burano. History states the fisherman couldn't find their way home in the fog and mist. They decided to paint the houses bright colours to make it easier for them. This little island is full of charm, off season the local residents are super friendly and lots of local lace and items for sale. Its a lovely day trip away from Venice but go early.
